Article Outline

Dear Editor:

I am a registered nurse in the emergency department at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. I just wanted to say “well done” to Sheila R. Finamore and Sheila A. Turris on their publication “Shortening the wait: A strategy to reduce waiting times in the emergency department” in the September 2009 issue of the Journal of Emergency Nursing.1 Bringing forth a Canadian voice is so important. I have shared this article with many of my colleagues because we, too, are trialing new and innovative ideas to improve ED flow and, ultimately, improve patient care!

Thanks for taking the time to publish such important information.
